    Customers say

Customers appreciate the sound quality, functionality, and appearance of the product. They find it offers great sound quality for less than many other options on the market, with an increase in volume, clarity, and a decrease in noise over the motherboard output. The amp/DAC works well with their HD 650 headphones and does a good job powering them. Many customers consider it the best DAC/AMP under $500.

Ups and downs with static issues but stable now
2020 Update: Static and pops returned over time despite using their recommended setting. I did receive an email from tech support about the product after changing my review back to 3 due to the static. After an inspection by them for a possible repair it was returned and placed into a USB 2.0 slot as requested (This is major, and goes against your instincts, but apparently USB 3.0 is actually worse for the DAC than 2.0.).As of the day of testing it upon a return it is stable for now. Given they had used it at the repair shop with Win 10 without issues on their end, if it does go bad again I will instead pursue Motherboard fixes instead2019:UPDATE: Okay was contacted by customer support and they said to change the bitrate/frequency output up to 24/96 in Windows. So far has worked and gotten rid of the pops. This is a relief and I'm glad its working well now. I will leave this review up to let others know about this Windows setting you need to change if you hear popsThe previous issue:So I got this a while back for my new PC. Hooked it into the rear USB (the best quality one according to the Motherboard manufacturer) of my new MSI Carbon Pro WIFI motherboard. Hooked up my Sennheiser HD 595s to it. Past couple weeks I've noticed when I start or end an audio/video file, through VLC, youtube I get some static pops in my headphones. If you put this on windows 10 you must go into advanced audio settings and set this bitrate or you will get the static pops. 2 days later I have not had any pops return so I am considering the issue fully fixed now

It sounds great with any headphone actually, but really sound incredible with the new Sennheiser HD 560S. This can also easily drive and sounds great with the HD 600. I would love to try it with the HD 660S but cannot afford them at the moment. This unit is well worth the price.

Offers great sound quality for much less than many/most options on the market. I noticed an increase in quality and decrease in noise over the motherboard output. Not as much as I would have hoped but I do have some minor hearing damage, so your mileage will vary.

The power cable was melted and did not even work. I've asked the seller 2 different question and they still havent responded. Ill post pics of the melted power cable and my set up. The power cable was melted to the twist tie thats also melted in the pic. Doesn't work at all. And dangerous.

They're fast to ship but not fast to respond. Total waste of my weekend. Was looking forward to spending the last 2 days of my vacation enjoying this new odac. Totally bummed out.

      UPDATE:
Mayflower contacted me and is sending a new cable. I was able to get it to work with the melted cable by moving it around. Waiting for the new cable.
