About this item
Planar Drivers: Monolith M1570C Headphones features newly designed, 106mm planar drivers. Utilizing a dual linear symmetry magnet array, the M1570C planar driver has been engineered and tuned to deliver a fantastic soundstage, extended airy highs, and tight, deep bass in a closed back enclosure.
Closed Back Design: Outside noise stays out and the music stays in! The M1570C delivers excellent audio isolation, allowing the sonic landscape to be undisturbed by the outside world, and the outside world to be undisturbed by your music. This makes the M1570C the perfect audiophile choice for those that may need to listen in less than silent environments.

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Yep they are heavy. These things are built like tanks but just resting in a chair or laying in your bed, it's a bit like a weighted blanket. It's strangely comfortable.
I watched another review that suggested they had absolutely no base. It was a lie. The sound is exciting, precise, transparent, and incredibly detailed. Usually detail this good comes with fatigue but these things don't feel fatiguing so much as demanding. The base is incredibly present, tight, and level, so if you are a base head, sure you'll want to turn the base up, but when it comes to high end headphones that's usually true. These are no slouch in the base department especially compared to other planar headphones.
I compare these to Hisense's Amanda and I gotta say, almost instantly these headphones drew me in and demanded my attention where as the Amanda's were airy and lovely, but also boring in comparison. It's not the eq either. These are made for analytical listening. They have an incredible sound stage, where as the Amanda's were alright just a tad less precise. Now the Amanda's are open back, and I'm sure that is part of the equation but this is just incredible. The room doesn't just disappear, a new world opens up. If the Amanda's are airy, these are a bit more like a hurricane. You will feel the sound with these things. With the Amanda's it's just less of everything, except for the room.
The only thing I don't like about these is the specialized cable. That's just not necessary. The manufacturer didn't need proprietary consumables to make a buck on headphones this good. They should have some faith in their product. It's incredible. A rare gem outperforming more popular options and at a very reasonable price point. People will want to buy it, if they can find it.
Basically a step up across the board compared to Sundara in sound quality. Although heavy, the headband and clamp force are quite nice, so they feel comfortable for long sessions. Would definitely recommend these as they don't suffer from the issues that other monoprice headphones had.
