Complaints about no HDMi? ... that's what the USB-C port is for, get a converter and you're done or a multi dongle and you'll get more USB ports, HDMI, and Ethernet. This thing already has TWO USB-C ports and a dedicated USB3 port. At worst, get a USB3 and/or a USB-C monitor now your workstation is three screens high.
I also can't say enough about Lenovo products in general; one of the main reasons that led me to go ahead with the purchase sight-unseen.
This laptop continues its slow death. Now the camera sometimes works, sometimes does not.
Something similar with USB memory sticks. The copying process is very slow and sometimes they just get disconnected.
Sometimes the laptop just turns off by itself.
What a piece of junk!
UPDATE APRIL 2021:
Some while ago the laptop started to get very unresponsive on the cursor. This lasted for a few minutes and happened about twice a day. I tried with a different mouse and trackpad but it did not solve this.
Eventually, after about 3 months this problem disappeared on its own.
Only later I found that the touch functionality was completely gone.
The rest kept working fine but now I see a kind of frame consisting of yellowish bars at all 4 sides of the screen., like 1 cm inside. Is about 5 mm wide. It is very noticeable when working with a white background on the screen, like on the amazon site. So I guess the screen will eventually die as well.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
Dimensions
I was a bit worried about this but the size is quite comfortable to work with and the weight is really not so much an issue.
Screen
The resolution is good with very crisp text and fine color and brightness.
Keyboard
Very responsive with comfortable keys in size and travel.
Trackpad
Very good and precise.
Responsiveness
It is quite good with the i5 processor. I have installed some Linus apps as well and they work fine.
Quirks
Some Android games only display a black screen.
When copying files to an external UBS stick formatted as ExFAT, the process simply stop with no error messages at all.
All surfaces are very receptive to fingerprints.
• Very nice display. Strong color balance, not oversaturated, and very vivid in viewing angles. Watching “Avengers” was right on the money with visual effects on screen.
• Really well built. Almost all aluminum with little to none flex when opening the screen. Solid and ….
• Unlike many 2 in 1 laptop, this one is quite thin. There are no fans which make this a little larger than an IPad when folding the screen on itself.
• I’m always a fan of products that don’t draw much attention, and this one does the trick.
• It lacks the weight (Think the weight of a MacBook Pro). I’ve carried it in a bag all day, and no complaints.
• No glitches yet in the touchscreen, meaning no random movements caused by the sensors behind the screen.
• Decent size trackpad. It’s also responsive with light taps registering them as clicks (Very smooth).
• Best Part: the battery. This is one of the best out there. I’m getting full day power (12-18 hours battery life) while making it my go-to computer (video playback, Photoshop, and typing). I know with just basic internet searching it can up to two days of life. Very impressive, one of the best I’ve tested in a while.
• 360-degree hinges are quiet and sturdy. No squeaky noises.
• Lenovo did a great job in reducing the bezels to much as possible for the webcam. They’re still there but the improvement is shown and it’s impressive.
• A full size, soft texture, keyboard. The laptop isn’t that big and with how thin it is, this was a nice perk to have. Also, I’m getting no flex on the keys themselves.
• No Intel inside. It’s a Snapdragon X20, which allows this computer to connect to the internet without a WIFI connection. With the cellular button in there control center and, after putting in my phone info, internet on the road. It works fine because it’s just your phone inside the computer.
• The designers really did their work because all the heat come at the upper part of the computer. The trackpad area is only lukewarm after a full day of work. I have to think it’s because of the Snapdragon hardware inside instead of the power-hungry Intel or AMD hardware.
• Using the fingerprint scanner make this more of the phone world. I love it.
• Super-fast startup time. There is barely a pause when I turned on the power button and get directed to my password login.
• Almost no bloatware. I notice one preinstall app when launching it up the first time, but other than that we’re good.
• As I mention, no fans make this silent.
• The webcam microphone was able to be clear and accurate when face timing with my colleague (this was indoors)
Cons and Oks:__________
• The audio in these speakers are hollow, even if there duel. Low bass and overall the volume is limited.
• When flipping the screen to a tablet, and sitting down, the audio is muffled, coming from my lap.
• No HDMI. Really? That should be a priority on any laptop in 2019.
• The brightness isn’t that strong. I have to max the brightness indoors and outdoors on a sunny day is almost useless.
• The keyboard is stiff to type on. I always loved Lenovo keyboards, but this one isn’t fun the type. The keys are way too shallow to type and I can see that some of the keycaps will become loose in the future. Overall not the best experience compared to what Lenovo has made in the past.
• Windows 10 S is completely pointless. It limits you to only install apps through the Microsoft Store. It’s supposed to boost security, but it really restricts you in trying to make this computer your own. You are unable to download third-party apps on the internet. The way I got out of this is upgraded to Windows 10. This is free for anyone, and it’s a must when getting this.
• Note the reason above is because Windows is mainly designed for Intel and AMD hardware. The Snapdragon is a new system entirely and therefore developers need to make “special” versions of the apps. I mentioning this as well because not all Window 10 apps will work, even if you have Windows 10 installed. This is a hardware flaw that I don’t know if software updates will fix.
• The big issue: This CPU struggles to perform. There is a reason why we go to Intel or AMD, and it’s because of power. The Snapdragon is hardware for a phone, not for a computer. Loading up to even 10 tabs of google chrome you start to get laggy, even crashes. Multi-tasking while watching a YouTube video, you’re going to get lag. When you’re doing multiple things, or have multiple programs running, the load time increases greatly. My test revolved around Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office, and internet surfing. One, or two, at the same time, is ok. Anything after that, this chip struggles to perform.
• As much as some of us hate the fan noise, if you want a powerful computer, you’re going to need a fan to handle the heat.
• Without a fan, don’t expect to game on this. I could even run Fortnite on this computer. I’m getting 30fps, and even that’s cutting it.
• Snapdragon overall is very limited in customization and in performance. For day to day internet and video streaming, it’s fine. Any deeper programs forget it.
• The only games you can play are the ones that Window 10 can. And even that may be an issue because of the hardware difference.
• The screen is plastic. The Lenovo’s plastic screen depresses some to the touch and is not smooth like modern tablets or smartphones using Gorilla Glass.
• 720 webcam. It’s not good or bad. It’ll do, for web conferences.
• It’s too heavy to hold in one hand in tablet mode for a long time. I’m still impressed with the weight, but for a tablet, it’s not there yet (almost though).
• I’ve had the fingerprint sensor not working if I have sweaty, or wet hands. The same issues that almost all smartphones face.
• To make this your laptop, upgrade to Windows 10. Window’s S Mode is too limited.
Bottom Line:__________
It’s a phone inside a laptop. You have a great screen, a well-built design, able to connect to the internet anywhere, and have battery life better than most laptops around. The battery is the biggest impression for me as it’s getting rarer to have a battery life like this, for a laptop.
Still, the hardware is no match for an Intel or an AMD hardware. The results create a limited laptop, only able to perform the basics of day to day activity. Because of this, this laptop is nowhere near a replacement, but something you can bring on the go. If your work only revokes the minimal workload on the internet and needs to be on the go then here you go. Otherwise, check out HP Spectre or a Microsoft Surface where the hardware can make it your main computer.
Overall: A laptop built out of a phone. Incredible battery, sharp resolution, and well built, but nowhere near the hardware power of what a “laptop” is.
Hope I was a help to you.
Love,
Honest Reviewer.

EDIT : Returned and reimbursed by the seller, no issues. I ended up getting the same model directly from Lenovo and it works great (and that one is backlit).
