    4 Stars
Rugged, easy to operate GPS for hiking.
The biggest issue with Garmin's GPS units is figuring out which one you should get. They have a gazillion models whose functionality is not easily distinguished. My main requirements were decent maps, easily downloaded track and waypoint data, and a smart-phone-like touch screen. The Oregon 750T seemed to fit the bill when I selected it, and my selection has worked out for me, but who knows if another model would have been the better choice? So far, I have used it on 6 hikes in a local park (see map) and have recorded waypoints (circles on map) and tracks (black dots on map). By the way, my map is a crude thing I cooked up with MATLAB, not anything Garmin provides. I wanted practice reading the GPX files (which I found to be very easy); I eventually plan to do some fancy data processing on them. Pluses so far: (1) the unit operates well from the vest pocket of my jacket; (2) it didn't take long for me to figure how to record tracks, mark waypoints and download them; (3) The built-in maps are pretty good; and (4) the unit didn't break when I accidentally dropped it onto hard ground. Minuses so far: (1) The rechargeable battery that comes with the unit lasts just two or three hours, not the sixteen that my quick read of the specs seemed to imply; (2) The touch-screen, while functional, is not as responsive as the screen on my smart-phone; (3) The belt-clip needs to be removed to connect the charging cable (or at least I was not willing to try to flex the USB cable enough to get past it, for fear of damaging the connector), and the shape is like an old flip-phone, with a rather small screen, whereas something more smart-phone-shaped with a bigger screen would be better. But overall, I view the minuses as minor. As for accuracy, all these hand-held units have an accuracy of about thirty-feet (unless you can receive WAAS). The degree to which my repeat tracks overlay is a test of that, and I would say that the accuracy is at least 30 feet, so I've no complaints there.

3.0 out of 5 stars First impressions and some issues.
Reviewed in the United States on June 15, 2017
This is an early review and I'll update it as I get more time in with the 750t. There is a learning curve in setting everything up (including basecamp and garmin connect). But once set up it looks like it will be a nice device. I've had a few issues with the 750 and will list them here first and come back with more in another month or two.

1 - one of the supplied batteries in the 2 cell pack was defective ( 0 volts on a fluke meter). I purchased some other NiMH batteries and had issues charging them in the 750 till I learned about the "button" trick.

2 - Although the 750 is not designed to provide a highly accurate calorie count it does a terrible job at this and is not even close. I used it for running a 5 mile route and it was way off. It was reporting about 38 calories per mile which is way low. Running burns around 100 calories per mile, even walking burns about 50 calories per mile. But the big disappointment was Garmin's lack of support for this issue. I contacted them several times. First they said the calorie count was done by another company and not by their device. I contacted Firstbeat and they confirmed that the count was all Garmin for the 750. After providing additional detailed data to Garmin they replied that the 750 is not really a fitness device. My position is they should either update their firmware to do a reasonable estimate based on distance and speed or remove the erroneous and misleading data. Finally after a few more exchanges they said "We have no reported issues with calorie count calculation on this unit and therefore are not releasing a fix."

I have some hikes coming up and will update my review. Hopefully if there are other issues, Garmin support will be more helpful.
