Out of all the 3 Shokz headphones I have I use OpenComm the most.
The absolutely best feature about OpenComm is the microphone. Their microphone quality and noise cancellation are absolutely best in business. I spend most of my day in Zoom meetings and phone calls, often in noisy environments like a crowded cafe, while walking on a street or while driving a car. The absolute best thing about these headphones is that the only thing other callers hear is your voice - no outside noise, no other people talking, no background music - only your voice.
The headphones are very light and it's easy to forget you're wearing them during the day. I'm consistently getting about 16 hours of batterly life on these headphones before I need to charge them which takes about 30 minutes.
Since these are bone-conducting/open-ear headphones, I ended up buying earplugs to help me hear other party better in noisy environments and they work like a charm.
I owned these headphones for over 2 years now and had to replace them once under warranty after the charging port died. The customer service was great. No issues, just sent me the replacement headphones.
I will most definitely buy a new pair if this one dies after the warrantly expires - you just can't beat the convenience and the microphone quality
A buddy let me try his SHOKZ and I knew I needed to get some. I was pleased to see there was an option that included a boom mic, as I primarily intended to use them for conference calls.
They work great for this purpose! Everyone says the sound is clear and not too quiet, which I was afraid of based on the shorter length of the mic boom. But the mic picks up my voice clearly. The mic does swing fully out of the way, resting along the line of the headband, if you want to stow it.
My laptop applies two different sound devices when I connect to it. One offers very limited sound quality, but the other is excellent. I have to manually switch between them sometimes when an application forces the use of one. Not a big deal, and could be caused by the laptop, not the headset. I mention it just in case you're not happy with the sound quality. Check your sound devices and see if you have another one for the same headset. It may be much better for playback.
The headset did take a bit to get used to. There is a noticeable pressure on the sides of the head where the conductors(?) sit. Your ears may be uncomfortable for the first few days as you adjust to the weight of the unit resting on them.
The battery life is excellent. I can listen to audio all day, take a few hours worth of calls, and the headset can just barely make it a full two work days before needing a recharge. This will vary depending on use, but I'm very pleased with this, as I tend to forget to recharge them every single day.
I do recommend that when you are disconnecting the charging plug, which is magnetic, you do so by tilting the plug sideways away from the port. Don't pull straight away. These magnets are pretty strong for their size, and a straight pull done repetitively over a long period of time, could lead to the port being damaged from being pulled out of the unit. Tilting the plug to the side breaks the magnetic pull without straining the port.
+ BACKGROUND NOISE CANCELLATION Is second to none. Really. I take work calls in loud coffee shops and outdoors and all external noises are cancelled out. Have tested many times with wife and coworkers. Exceptions the wind.. it picks that up during walks.
+BATTERY LIFE is solid. Last about 2 days with mild use for work calls.
+QUICK CHARGE function helps In a pinch. 5 min charge will get you through next calls
+ MINIMALISTIC DESIGN. Other head sets are overkill and tough to travel with.
Cons
- the microphone boom stick is flimsy. I broke my previous set over time. I rotate it only at the junction now, very carefully.
Bone conduction technology - really neat and allows one to hear ongoing background noise. Just be aware if you’re in very noisy environments it makes it harder to perceive the sound from the headphones or listen to music.

Copio e colo a avaliação do outro:
Dou aulas presenciais e OnLine ao mesmo tempo. Precisava de um fone com microfone direcionado, que durasse aproximadamente 10 horas de uso por dia.
Com estes fones, consigo escutar os alunos e ao meu redor; e ao mesmo tempo, consigo atender os alunos OnLine. No Tablet e no PC utilizo o Zoom e o MS Teams.
Valeu a pena gastar.
--------
Acabei comprando a versão mais recente, a do Shokz.
