I've used the Unicorn Beetle case for several phones over the last few years, and have only now run into this problem. While I understand that it's not entirely their fault that phone manufacturers have now put fingerprint readers on the front screens, but even Google has a list of approved screen protectors that are compatible with their fingerprint sensors. Would it have been a big issue for SupCase to find out how to make theirs work?

I just received this E-Mail from support:
"We do not have any plans to update the case as it does work for other customers. There can be issues sometimes that customers have run into, but we typically send another case to see if that works."

But, considering that AS OF WRITING THIS REVIEW--

I wanted to like this case, I had always heard good things about the brand. It includes a built-in screen protector, and unlike some cases, it is integrated and not intended to be removed (glued in). I do like the kickstand, and that is the main reason I bought it instead of the Spigen that I had on my previous phone. The good, it is sturdy and I think it will protect the phone, and the great kickstand. The bad, well, it is really bulky. The worse, the fingerprint reader would not work with it. I tried increasing the touch sensitivity and deleting and reprogramming the fingerprints, but no go... it would allow you to program a print, but then it would not recognize it, 100% of the time. I spent a long time with an exacto knife and removed the screen protector, and am now using it without. I will probably purchase one of the Google certified screen protectors.

I've had several unicorn beetle cases, so when I got my new Pixel 6A, I knew I had to have another one. One. They've always been super protective, and reliable. The only downfall is that the fingerprint reader does not work with the screen protector. Protector. I've tried up to 20 times to get my fingerprint read, and the phone does notice that I'm trying to use it, but it can't read my finger once they've accepted the scans.

I have purchased this brand of cases for years and love them. Unfortunately for them, the Google Pixel 6a cannot read the fingerprint sensor on the front of the phone with the screen protector on. I had to return the 6a and the case due to the absurdity of it all. I recently read that Google has "approved" screen protectors. I wish this one was one of them as they are the best in market. So, this is more of a review for Google rather than the case.

This case was not what I expected, and I can't really recommend it. I wanted a case for the Pixel 6A with a belt clip and this is one of the few that I found that has one. It holds the phone but is not what I would call secure. It pops off really easy and after a couple of days I am still not sure it would hold it tight. The case itself doesn't feel as rugged as I expected, especially compared to an Otterbox. I imagine that I will get myself a different case even though I've only had this one a couple of days.
