Anker has had some of the best USB hubs, chargers (wall warts), battery packs, and cables that I've seen. We have several in my family. They have replaced the OEM chargers and cables. Now that things are moving to USB C I will be buying updated ones soon as well.
Thru Anker I learned about sound core. My first Soundcore product was the Liberty 2 Pro ear buds. I bought a set when they were first released and had them for a while. I also bought my wife and daughter a set after I had them for a while and knew how well they worked.
Fast forward and we have both a Q20 and Q30 noise canceling head sets, Motion+ bluetooth speaker and 2 Wakey alarm clocks too.
I work from home and use the Q30 when I need to block out ambient household noises so I can concentrate on work. I love them. They do a GREAT job. So when the Liberty Air 2 Pro were announced I was intrigued. Noise cancelling in an ear bud. Improved sound quality, and compared to the Liberty 2 Pro these seemed like the would be smaller and more comfortable, with noise canceling and only a minimal change in listening time (7 hours, vs 8 hours).
GIven past experiences with each of the other items, I bought 3 pairs all at once this time, for myself, wife, and daughter.
These work great! They are comfortable out of the box for me, while my wife and daughter changed the in-the-ear soft cap to a smaller size. Several sizes are included to make sure you can find that size that gives the best fit and maintain comfort while holding in place securely.
More importantly is the sound. Impressive sound while keeping the noise cancellation capability. It really is amazing. These cut sound very well. I haven't done exhaustive comparisons, but just in the brief time I have them I think they are as effective at noise cancellation as the Q30 headset. In some cases I think it's better. On the Q30 without playing any noise, I can hear the "white noise" cancellation audio. I don't notice that so much on the Airs. At least not yet. Perhaps I will as I get used to them and use them for noise cancellation without listening to music more often.
Battery life seems to be prety good, though I have noticed they tend to not seat on the charging pads in the case as well as the Liberty 2 Pros. I have had them in the case and not charge. They actually stayed turned on and the battery ran down even though in the case. It's only happened one time. I don't know if that's because now I am more deliberate when I put them in to make sure they are seated well, or if that one time was just a fluke. My wife and daughter haven't had that happen.
The noise cancellation does a good job in default settings, however the Soundcore phone app allows these to be tuned more closely to the type of noise you want to filter out. It also allows similar sound equalizer settings to the Liberty 2 Pro ear buds, with several pre-set options, as well as a custom tuned setting you do by going thru a type of hearing test, or a simple equalizer that you can adjust as you prefer. I wish it had the full range of presets from the Liberty 2 Pros, but given different speakers and drivers, it may be those are still coming and just haven't been created yet for these.
I gave 4 out of 5 for comfort. It may be I'm just not used to how these feel, but I find the Liberty 2 Pros to be more comfortable and to have slightly better sound. However, the active noise cancellation and impressive sound from the Liberty Air 2 Pro is a powerful combination. I especially like that the Air 2 Pro noise cancellation performance is in line with the Q30 over the ear style headset. Wow.
Finally, call quality. Calls are crystal clear. It takes a bit of an adjustment to "hearing yourself" internally but not thru your ears. This is normal, and it's why some phones have had side tones to put your voice in your ear for years. As for the mic, I've only spoken to a couple of people with these. So far the comments indicate these work better than the Liberty 2 Pros and MUCH better than the Q30 for picking up my voice. Comments are that I'm clear, good volume. The Liberty 2 Pro people said I was hard to understand or hear but it was acceptable in a pinch, and the Q30 was just plain bad, low volume and couldn't understand me unless I spoke very loud and emphatically. In fact I don't use the Q30 at all, and rarely the Liberty 2 Pro, for phone calls for that reason. I don't spend a lot of time on the phone so it's not a problem for those. With the Liberty Air 2 Pro I will be finally able to leave these in my ear and use them for phone calls. I've very happy about that.
Myself and my family are all very happy with these. Myself, my wife, and my. daughter all grab these first now when listening to pretty much anything.
Sound quality is not the best out there, but still very good especially with the EQ settings you can play with in the app. I had Senheiser Momentum over ear headphones (around $500) and these do not have the same clarity, but as someone who has a high standard for quality, the Liberty Air Pro 2 is good enough to enjoy.
Active noise cancelling is better than I imagined, much better than my old over ear Senheisers. If your expectations are realistic then you will be happy! In the house it is good enough to block out my girlfriend watching Bridgerton, in the airport I felt almost completely silenced from the crowd. In the plane I could barely make out the announcements and a slight whine of the engine - planes are loud, these made it very quiet but not 100% perfect, I don't think chainsaw muffs could even silence a flight!
A few negative reviews about the noise cancellation almost deterred me from buying, but these exceeded my expectations.
Fit is pretty good and comfortable, just be ready to adjust them if you are sweaty or get earwax on them. After wearing them for 6 hours out of my 8 hour travel day my left ear was finally getting tired of them, but not painful. They stay in great while walking, and pretty well when I run, they just need the occasional adjustment. When you get them sealed in nicely the ANC and sound quality are impressive, once you hear them "pop" out a bit, a slight readjustment gets that perfect seal back.
Overall, these are way better than I expected. As an audiophile the sound quality is the only aspect I wouldn't give 5 stars. For the price these are amazing noise cancelling ear buds with great battery life (longest continual use has been 3 hours and they still reported 50% life remaining). My only regret is that I put off buying these for 6 months!

I had tried a few budget ANC earbuds but I ended up returning them since they didn't satisfy my needs.
Then I saw a few YouTubers mention these Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pros. I wasn't a fan of the stem design initially, but I don't mind it too much as I can adapt. Given the lack of mid-range and budget ANC earbuds, I decided to give these a chance.
To date, $170 CAD is the highest I've ever spent on a pair of headphones/earbuds so I hope they were worth it.
Fit and Design: At first, based on the reviews I watched, I was a bit skeptical about the fit. After all, the tip doesn't go in too deep. When I actually tried it on I had no issues. No issues with them falling out either. Although I do wish they could go a tiny bit deeper, getting the right eartip seal is a must with these and thankfully they included 9 different sized eartips so I don't think anyone will have any trouble getting the right fit. Although I do get some ear fatigue when listening for extended periods of time. That said, that does affect noise cancelling, which leads me into my next point.
Noise Cancelling and Transparency Mode: For me, I don't need the best, absolute silence noise cancelling, just something that can reduce the noise around me and it does that pretty well. I like how it comes with the three modes of noise cancelling; Outdoor, Indoor and Transport. There's also a custom option but I find it completely useless and redundant. Now, ANC does affect the sound. Whenever ANC is on in a noisy environment, the bass sometimes gets too extreme where to the point where it just sounds like it's crackling. But I found that's because the eartip is improperly sealed and that was fixed by swapping out for a bigger pair of eartips. Transparency mode is fine with no issues and sounds pretty natural.
Case and Battery Life: I personally with the case could be a bit smaller, but that's just a tiny nitpick, nothing to worry about. The sliding case opener just feels so satisfying to flick open and closed. The case is small enough to fit in my pocket whether I'm wearing jeans or track pants/joggers. Battery Life is pretty good for ANC earbuds. You can't expect super stellar 50 hour battery life with ANC since it uses more battery life. No issues with it at all. I usually don't have earbuds in for more than 2-3 hours straight anyways so it's not an issue. The USB-C quick charge feature is a plus as well.
Features and Controls: I knew what I was getting into when I dropped $170 on these and these babies have features that make it worth it. Qi Wireless charging capabilities is a real plus (not sure why it wouldn't be standard in 2021). It's compatible with the Soundcore App which you can toggle which controls do what, noise cancelling and EQ. The controls are what I kinda have a problem with. I personally wish they had a single and triple tap option. While it has volume, skip forward/back, play/pause and switching noise cancelling modes available, I can only choose 4 of these options. The double tap is fine but I feel they miss some times. The 2s long press can be inaccurate sometimes IMO (more like 2.5s). I personally use double tap for my track controls, long press left for switching NC modes and right long press for play/pause, although it does have an in-ear sensor which pauses if you take either or both buds out and resumes when you put them back in. I usually just use that. I am confident though that Soundcore can add more touch control functionality like single and triple tap with a future firmware update so I hope you guys read this and consider it in the future.
Sound Quality: Here's the thing. I'm going to be generous on this one and give this one an all out five. Mainly because the sound quality doesn't really matter too much. Out of the box, with no EQ or on the sound signature it has good bass and solid mids and highs. Like I said, sound quality doesn't matter too much because unlike other buds which have a fixed sound signature, these buds can be used with the EQ in the app to change the sound to your liking. They have 22 different presets which you can use as a base to make your own EQ or you can just make your own custom EQ. This is where I actually started to learn about EQing and I just made a custom sound profile that suits all the music I listen to.
Overall, while there are a few irks, overall I am quite satisfied with these buds and I can definitely recommend them to someone looking for a good pair of ANC earbuds in the mid-range category or cheaper, Airpods Pro alternatives for Android users.
Update: In Mid April 2021, Soundcore provided and update that added the single tap option. I'm so glad since I can use that as my volume control. It's great to see that Soundcore is a company that actually listens to customer feedback and takes action accordingly. This alone made me raise the rating from a 4-star to a 5-star. Thank you Soundcore!

Arrived with a great selection of rubbers for the perfect fit, so thanks to that now I know, that my earhole size is "S". Who knew? Apart of that, it is possible to personalize the entire thing, which moves would do what functions. It is absolutely great!
Music quality is top, and listening audio books is another nice way to use it.
I think I made a mistake with the colour though, they are extremely pretty, but having a dark, long, curly hair, it is impossible to see, that I am using them, so people think, I am the crazy lady of the village. And not only for talking to my dog, or waving to other dogs. But for the involuntary dancemoves during walking and listening Seamus Kennedy.
I love this product, and I highly recommend it!!!!
