The GPS is great for trips. It is far more intuitive than my car GPS. The voice actuation is much easier to use. Also, being able to use Pandora at the same time is a plus for me. My only complaint is the recent change that eliminates the verbal readout of street names when using the GPS. It says, "in a quarter mile turn left" , versus the previous way which would say "in a quarter mile turn left on Main Street."

While I enjoy the updates and functionality I have one big issue. About two updates ago I can no longer receive phone calls. It will ring once then go straight to voicemail. This is on a jeep renegade radio. All phones do this now. I have researched and checked all settings with no avail. Now to contact someone while driving I message them twice to call so it alerts the driver. A smaller issue app used to crash a lot then drastically improved. Now with latest update it is slowly crashing again.

I like it for the most part... occasionally, when receiving a call on Bluetooth, Android Auto may shut down. If using a gps route, it can leave us lost without directions until I can restart the app - sometimes requires me to restart the car! Don't know if this is the app or my VW but it's bad when it happens. Otherwise, Android Auto is a good control center for media, maps and info while driving.
