Normal Mode last about 6 hours but has a terrible delay for gaming.
Gaming Mode last 2-3 hours has almost no delay.
First time using ear buds for gaming. Clear sound and comfortable fit in ears. The Active noise canceling is great. Easy to use and set up. Extremely convenient when multitasking. Mic sounds great with no interference.
The touch sensor on the earbuds is extremely insensitive, to the point where I have to take the earbuds out and mash it to even register the touch.
The headphone case is dumbest thing I can imagine. They put the charge contacts on the very bottom of the earbud stem, and the case charge contacts are at the bottom of a narrow well for the stems to slide into. It’s basically impossible to clean. My pair were ruined because sweat pooled in the bottom and crusted up the contacts.
The earbuds also go out of sync constantly. I use these when I workout and I regularly spend the first 5 minutes in my car just cussing at these things and trying everything to make both earbuds turn on at the same time.
The lights are cool but it just ruins the battery life. And the gaming mode is a placebo feature that actually does nothing. Don’t buy these.
-- warning to anyone who wants this to do any actually gaming and not mobile gaming? don't even touch these. apple air pods could do the same for half the price. --
How are you going to be a gaming company that focuses a lot on PC and not specify that this can only really work with your phone? who makes this stuff for Mobil gaming alone? that's super limiting.
I actually looked up some reviews/complaints from there website and one of the tech support confirmed that its only intended for phone. and gave a snide remark to the one who left a comment about how he wouldn't have bought it had he known it was incapable of basic Headset/Mic features on pc. basically, saying it's in the descriptions. that's not true at all. and Mobile gaming should be what they put IN THE NAME. not gaming.
Thats how I found out that this basically is glorified earbuds.
now to the things its actually good for?
quality of sound? 5 stars
Noise cancelation is okay but funky in some cases like your car is beeping at you with your door ajar. (It makes a weird counter beep)
comfort? definitely feels comfortable in the ear.
The reason I wanted these in the first place is their headset broke on me and I figured i'd get something that doesn't bug my neck injury as much. and get something that doesn't put any weight on my head.
warning to anyone who wants this to do any actually gaming and not mobile gaming? don't even touch these. apple air pods could do the same for half the price.
Noise cancelling is OP. Outside sources will be close to muted, even if they're very loud.
I wish the battery on the earbuds lasted a little longer though, and even with my most recent warranty claim (one of the earbuds discharged at a much faster rate than the other), Razer made it right after some troubleshooting, and replaced them pretty quickly. I'm a little upset about FedEx, who delivered the replacement later after already claiming it was out for delivery, but that doesn't really have much to do with Razer.
Hammerhead > Airpods. No question.

Sound is nice.
ANC covers up a lot of background noise.
Led light looks good.
I haven’t tried gaming mode yet.
Battery life is better if all those options are off.
Could not tell they were refurbished when I received them.
Would buy again.
