In addition to all of that, this is just a good puzzle solving mystery game. But keep that in mind, it is a puzzle solving mystery game. This is Batman the detective, not Batman the combatant. That said, since it's not a fast moving action game, it is a great introduction to VR as there is little to no chance of motion sickness from this title.
The graphics are some of the best I've seen in PSVR yet (the a fore mentioned crime scene reconstruction is amazing). The music is pure Batman and the voice acting is everything you've come to expect from the Arkham series (Mark Hamill's Joker and all). As others have noted the game is a bit short, about two hours, but to be fair it is not priced as a full game either.
5 stars for a great game.
I felt truly immersed and this literally took me to a whole new world. I was IN Gotham. The story is very, very short but intriguing and you want to know what happens next. Once the game was over and I removed the headset, I understood that I had completely mentally left actual reality. It was almost like waking up from a dream. This will be interesting to see how the brain takes all this in over time, to really feel like you are somewhere else. It made me think of the Matrix, when Morpheus answers Neo's question "is this real?" Overall, this is the best VR experience I've had yet. Bring on more Rocksteady... please!!!
All in all, for 20 dollars, I'd recommend it no problem. It's a game you play through many times, and will likely come back to like a movie, every now and then wanting to be the bat. I really hope Rocksteady takes note of this, I would love an actual 10-20 hour game of this, with more features and things to explore, and the ability to move freely, and see yourself grappling, and driving in the batmobile and batwing jet. The vehicles are there, and you can unlock more, but without being able to see in the cockpit it leaves some to be desired. I'd pay good money for a longer version, this game oozes quality. I've play "catlateral damage" "Job Simulator", and "VR Worlds" with the demo disc, and have beaten the last two (catlateral damage, or Cat Sim as it's often referred to did not do it for me, so I won't be playing it again likely) and have "RIGS" and "Rush of Blood" on the way, but so far this is my favorite VR title. The only things keeping it from being a 5 star game, is the length (Which for the price isn't bad), and the cut to black when grappling and riding in vehicles, which I understand Rocksteady not wanting to put a game out to make people sick, and it is a launch title so they were likely testing the waters, but in future versions I hope to see it present, with an option of disabling it if you get sick.
