The things I really like about this keyboard:
* Low profile, low keycap height, and short keystroke distance -- Ok, three points in one, but taken together, these attributes make typing quickly feel very effortless compared to a more traditional keyboard that has a longer keystroke distance and taller keycaps.
* The Kailh low profile blue switches feel FANTASTIC under the fingers, to me. They are similar to MX Blues, but maybe with a lighter activation force, and of course the much shorter keystroke travel distance. People talk about how with MX switches they learn to type faster by not having to bottom out the keys; well, with the short travel distance of these keys, you can go ahead and bottom out the keys and not have to second guess how far you have to press OR waste effort on unnecessary keystroke distance.
* No software/drivers needed. Basic keyboard functionality (including lighting controls) is all plug-and-play. Software is available, though, and provides additional hotkey/macro assignment functionality, as well as letting you set custom lighting patterns, brightness (including off), and colors.
Things I'm indifferent to, on this keyboard:
* The keycap font is different from most other keyboards. The capital characters are printed to the right and above the lowercase character, instead of directly above it like with most keyboards. This seems to bug some reviewers, and I can understand why. However, I don't think it's a big deal if you're primarily a touch typist.
* Lighting -- I normally just keep the lighting turned off entirely. If I'm working at night, I may turn it on low as a constant red glow for the backlit keys, but that's all the use I have for it. The keyboard itself has like 10 different lighting patterns/animations and brightness settings and RGB colors. That's nifty, but to me, it's just mostly a gimmick. Frankly, I'd be perfectly happy with a cheaper model without any backlit keys at all.
Things that kind of bug me about the keyboard:
* It lacks dedicated media keys, but you can replicate the function via the software-defined macros. HOWEVER, the macros/hotkeys are only available when "gamer mode" is active (toggled via Fn+PrntScrn). The problem is that while gamer mode is active, the regular key function is not available if it has been overridden via a macro or hotkey assignment. For example, if I have F8 assigned to the Mute function, it means that as long as gamer mode is on, F8 will always turn Mute on and off, instead of actually registering F8 being pressed. If I need to actually use the F8 key as itself, Ineed to turn off gamer mode first (or assign the macro to another less-used key). That's a lot clunkier than having a dedicated media key, or even being able to do use a quick Fn+key combo (the Fn+key combos default to managing the lighting effects when in non-gamer mode). It hasn't been a huge problem for me personally, because I only want the Volume Up/Down and Mute function, and I just assign them to the 3 least-used keys on the keyboard, and there haven't been any app/game conflicts yet, but I feel its kind of a bad design.
* The feel of the keys is great, BUT it is possible (if you press very slowly or VERY lightly) to get the key to click without actually registering the keystroke. From what I can tell, the actual activation point is maybe 1mm past the click point. Again, typing normally, I don't feel this is a huge issue, but its worth a mention. If you're a SUPER light and fast typist (perhaps if you're used to flying on MX Reds or MX Speed switches) it may throw you off. For reference, from taking various speed tests, I averaged about 104wpm at 94% accuracy, and none of the errors were from "light strikes", that I can tell (the errors were simple fumbles or typos on my part).
Some other reviewers have mentioned issues with the keyboard breaking or malfunctioning after having it for some time. The keyboard I have is still new to me, but I haven't had any issues with it out of the box. If something happens down the line, I will update this review to reflect my experience. For now, though, it's my new go-to keyboard for home desktop computing and gaming!
Before getting this keyboard I had concerns about the low profile keys not feeling great, cord length to be able to fit my computer underneath my desk, sleek look with cord, and increased efficiency in work and gaming. I use numbers with my keyboard very often for data entry and type often. I also play Escape From Tarkov which uses a lot of keys like the alt key that I noticed some other keyboards will make this key smaller. I dont play many computer games but I am unsure if that is not a usual key. Also there are many keyboards that move random keys around like the question mark and since I have to use different keyboards I dont want different layouts messing me up in the future.
Pros
- Increased typing speed
- Love the sound of the keyboard and the feedback feel is amazing
- RGB is very bright and vibrant, plus was able to customize keys myself for gaming layout that helps a ton! Did not care about this feature and I didn't think I would use it until I got they keyboard and tried it out and its great. In photos linked with this review, I posted a picture of my customized layout, you can have up to five different layouts all fully customizable. Cant add effects to your custom layouts though which is fine for me
- Cord length is great and not too short. Originally planned on buying a longer micro usb cord but the one that comes with it is great length and slack room as well. Plus I needed a keyboard without a gigantic cord in the back, I would not get once without this small cord because I originally wanted wireless
CONS
- this is a pro for me but could be a con for others. I would not take this to the office or a public environment. The keyboard is loud but a perfect loud for me. I love the sound, but I would not take it to my quiet work. If you have your own office or work in a loud space it isn't insanely loud but could not work in a library or quiet coffee shop.
Overall if you are considering wireless like me and considering the other name brands, really consider micro usb keyboards like this. It will cut the cost, still look sleek, and you will get better quality for the money. I used to use macs as well with macbook 2012 and this keyboard is like a mac keyboard x100. keys are also deeper than I thought, so feels great but you dont have heavy keys where you have to push straight down. I love this keyboard and am way happier with this than I could imagine. I will be recommending it to anyone. If you hate macs, you can still like this keyboard. I just didnt want anything clunky
For keys took me a while to figure out difference and Im not an expert but this is what I found when researching
Black- loudest, but has the best physical feedback on fingers
blue- slightly quieter than black, still loud
brown- good for public spaces with quieter keyboard but small physical feedback
reds- no physical feedback and the quietest out of all of them

Keys make a satisfying click.
Low-profile is very nice. Keys aren't very tall, makes typing wayyyyy easier.
High quality product. RGB functions are super-easy to control and are keyboard-centric, you don't need to download any bloatware on your computer at all.
connects to the computer using a USB to micro-USB cord, which disconnects from the keyboard. This is a big plus in my opinion. I'd be happier if it came with a bluetooth/wireless module, but I'm not complaining.
Pros of the removable wire:
If the wire breaks, they are cheap and you can easily get a new one.
Much more portable with the removable cord as well.
Cons:
If the plug breaks, you're screwed. That being said, if the plug breaks on a normal keyboard, you're screwed too, so it's not much different. Possibly safer, because if enough force is put on the wire it will simply disconnect instead of breaking something inside.
Pros:
- Good build quality.
- Great feel on the keys.
- Full RGB and easy to customise colours via keyboard shortcuts.
Cons:
- RGB LEDs blink on a very fast frequency, so if you move your eyes quickly it feels a bit strange.
- The typography could be better designed. Helvetica is a great typeface but there positioning, size and adjustments could be greatly improved. It also applies for the symbols which some look like 'Yelp' logo.
- The click sound quite pleasant but it may sound too clicky for some people. That's a matter of personal preference
Overall considering the price it's a 5 out of 5!

The switches are nice and tactile with not a overly loud click. (I like my reds and not even these annoy me)
Little to no key wobble. Footprint is fantastic nice and compact. Lighting is nice and bright with really good colour saturation (even better than my corsair strafe rgb), although the transitions between colours on the rainbow wave with the speed turned down is very noticeable.
It being low profile means you don't need a wrist rest (I love this).
Overall, fantastic keyboard. Would 100% recommend.
