But now to the Jabra. I have been using them for a couple of weeks with no problems. The equalizer in the Jabra app makes all the difference in the world for sound quality. I was able to adjust all aspects of the sound to my liking. Separation is great and the sound has that deep quality that brings out all the instruments.
YOU MUST GET A GOOD SEAL WITHIN THE EAR TO GET FULL SOUND! That's one reason I have never liked the silicone tips on earbuds. These were comfortable enough, and sealed well, but I ordered the Comply foam tips specially-made to fit Jabra, and I like those better. And, yes, they fit into the charging case.
These buds have operated flawlessly. Pairing was simple the first time and they connect immediately when taken from the case. I have only experienced a very few "dropouts" of the sound and they only last a fraction of a second. All the buttons do what they are supposed to do. I have only used them for music when cycling or working around the house, but I have received one phone call. Though I have no details, the call went smoothly. Of course, I have no idea about long-term reliability, but they seem well-made.
Now, on to some little things that I simply don't like or seem strange. First of all, this is a renewed product. What I received was two earbuds, a charging case and cord and three extra tips. Not three pair, three period. It came with the mediums installed on the buds and they included a pair of large and one odd tip. I had to change to the large. But as I said earlier, I was already planning to replace the tips, so this was not a problem for me. There was no instruction manual included. This could have been a problem, but the manual is easy to find on-line, plus you can access it from the app. There are a LOT of functions available on the buds, but it will take some time to learn them all and get proficient pressing the tiny buttons. If you want to use only one bud, as I do when cycling, you can only use the right one. The music plays in mono while listening to only the right, so you don't lose half the sound, but you DO lose the functionality of the left bud. The music continues in mono until you remove the left bud from the case and it gets close enough to the right bud to pair with it. Then it switches to full stereo. That brings me to the case. It's a real bitc* to open! This may be the reason my pair was returned to be renewed. You have to REALLY squeeze the top of the case to unlatch it. But it seems to be getting easier the more I do it. The lights for the buds to indicate charge level, etc. only flash briefly and sometimes I can't tell if they are actually charging, but they always have been charging so far. The top of the case serves to seat the buds firmly against the charging contacts, so you can't just leave the top open. The case is rounded on the bottom, so it's not made to stand up. If you lay it down with the top open, the buds simply roll out.
The hear-through feature works and can be adjusted in the app, but I have found that the max-amount of hear-through is the only setting that is enough to matter. But it DOES work!
The shape of these buds is sleek, and they don't poke out too far, but this same shape makes them a bit difficult to hold in two fingers. There aren't any flat surfaces for gripping or for just setting one of them down. They tend to roll rather than stand. But again, this is something I will adapt to.
So, all-in-all, these are great buds with great sound. Let's face it: If you are listening to streaming music, you're not getting the greatest sound to start with. NO product can make audiophile sound from a 32 kbps internet radio stream. Higher bit-rate streaming services like Napster/Rhapsody are better, but you are still getting an MP3-like stream. But the sound and separation of these buds are as good or better (thanks to the equalizer and the app) as any I have tried, including the horse-collar LG's I used long ago.
I have tried here to detail the little things that did not detract from my experience in case they may distract from yours. I really think these would be a good purchase for a large majority of users. Happy Listening!
The inherent features paired with the features "unlocked" by using the app are awesome. It's not overly complex to be confusing or annoying, I basically setup the EQ once when I first installed it, and never had to mess with it again. The "Hear Through" feature is awesome--though realistically it's only partially useful, in that it allows me to hear outside noises enough to know that someone's talking to me, but since I'm listening to something else, I still can't hear them. But the buds detect when one is no longer in proximity to the other and auto pause your media when you take one out to talk to someone, which is awesome. Until you forget and take the other one out and hold them in your hand, not realizing that the buds are in range of each other and started playing again. BUT, having the Hear Through on is better than being absolutely deaf to the world, regardless. The App has different "profiles", or Moments, as they call them, which is nice, though I wish you could customize them more or create your own, but realistically I've not needed more than the three given, just to have one with Hear Through on and one with Hear Through off -- and since they can be swapped through the notification area on your phone, you don't even have to unlock your phone in order to enable/disable the feature.
I received these exactly a month ago today and at first I tried to make an effort to use them as much as possible, now it's just second nature to take them everywhere I go. I've not really had many connection issues--or, many bad ones. The only issues I tend to have are when my phone is in my left pocket (which is where I normally keep it), when doing work and moving around/bending down, a lot. It seems that my body (which isn't a large one, mind you) causes some connection issues, but it's a brief stutter at best. Moving my phone to my right side--even in the back pocket--eliminates this entirely, since the right bud is the "Master". But if I'm just walking around, it's never been an issue. What surprised me the most is when I took them out of their case and they reported that they were Connected, my phone's Bluetooth was off, and then my wife's music started playing--and she was in the back yard! It's definitely not a problem to have your phone across the room - in fact it seems to help some of the random "body meat-related" connection stutters.
Overall I simply love these earbuds and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a good truly wireless earbud.

Dont like the box it comes in. Hard to open w/o spilling them. Maybe it takes getting used to. And i wish the buds were a bit louder.
