I’d like to start off by stating I have extremely sensitive teeth and gums. What the people at Phillips Sonicare consider “soft” is to me the equivalent of chewing on a porcupine strapped to a vibrator for two minutes straight, the bathroom floor drenched in my tears afterword. It’s either that, or back to the dentist. If I have to be trapped in that chair while that dude talks about sports cars for hours on end I’ll lose my mind. Needless to say when this new tooth brush crossed my path it caught my attention.

This brush actually has thousands of bristles so densely packed they appear solid. The bristles are super-ultra soft, although they only claim to be ultra soft. Not only did this brush not hurt my teeth. The density of the bristles combined with their almost velvet texture creates a whole new brushing experience. The bristles gently caress the gum line while as a whole they delicately yet firmly massage the gums and teeth all the while providing one with an unparalleled level of clean. At the risk of breaching reviewer/consumer etiquette. I have to report that I found the whole experience completely erotic. This product proves that God exists and that he hears our prayers and answers them.

Normal, “soft” toothbrushes were never soft enough for my tender gums. I am thrilled to have found these. Now I can scrub my teeth thoroughly without irritating my gums in the least. Some customers who have used these or other soft microfiber toothbrushes have complained that they don’t clean thoroughly but I’ve not experienced that at all. It might require a few more seconds but I can scrub to my hearts content until I achieve the level of clean I require. And, I do mean *clean*! My tongue actually squeaks over my teeth when I’ve finished cleaning. I don’t use ordinary toothpaste but instead, brush with water and then apply and spit a no-rinse, leave in, prescription fluoride paste. I will never go back to using an ordinary toothbrush. This was a convenient size package and reasonably priced.

I've had these brushes for about 3 months. I had a similar type prior that my son thought would be useful for stirring toilet water. I found these because the previous brush was perfect. However, this brand failed to hold up. The brush has expanded. The bristles are too soft and doesn't feel like you're getting a complete clean so you have to brush longer. It's lost the stiffness you look for even in a softer bristle. I wouldn't say not to try, but rather to test it out for yourself, if you like softer toothbrushes.
